Why it's useful: This Charm turns your Black Powder Bombs into extremely effective incendiary grenades. What it does: Enemies struck by Black Powder Bombs catch on fire and deal Burn damage to nearby foes. Location: A reward for reaching the Legend Rank 'The Raging Storm'. This Charm is especially effective when used alongside Ghost Armor. Why it's useful: Terrified enemies flee from combat, and this Charm's 25% bonus chance to Terrify can make some perks incredibly potent to the point where almost every other enemy will run rather than fight. What it does: Perks and abilities that Terrify are 25% more likely to occur. Location: Pray at Crane Mountain Shrine in Act 3. This is arguably one of the best Charms in the game for beginners or intermediate players, although experienced players may not need the extra help. This Charm makes it easier to get the timing right, and that can sometimes mean the difference between victory and defeat. Why it's useful: Perfect Parries in particular can be difficult to pull off until you're familiar with the attacks of your enemies. What it does: Parries, Perfect Parries, and Perfect Dodges are easier to perform. Location: Pray at Spring Falls Shrine in Act 1. More experienced players may not get a lot of use out of this Charm, but restoring more health upon your revival can be a huge help if you're struggling to win a particular fight. Why it's useful: The Iron Will technique lets you spend Resolve in order to revive after Jin has been struck down by his enemies. What it does: Iron Will now revives you at 50% of your maximum health. This Charm becomes very powerful when used alongside Gosaku's Armor. This is more than enough time to kill the foe that you just staggered without fear of being stabbed in the back by one of his friends. Why it's useful: With this Charm, breaking an enemy's guard basically lets you go crazy for 6 seconds. What it does: Staggering an enemy prevents uninterrupted melee attacks for 6 seconds. Location: Pray at Lush Peak Shrine in Act 2. With this Charm equipped, target lightly armoured opponents like archers in order to quickly get the damage boost, and then utilise it against more difficult enemies. Why it's useful: During bigger battles, having a melee damage boost activate every time you kill an enemy can help you tear through the rest of your foes. What it does: Killing an enemy increases Melee damage by a Minor amount for a few seconds. Location: Pray at Snowlit Peak Shrine in Act 3. Kunai and other Ghost Weapons can turn the tide of battle very quickly, so having a way to recover a Kunai can give you a significant advantage during bigger fights. Why it's useful: Perfect Dodges aren't especially easy to pull off, but more advanced players can get a lot of out this Charm. What it does: Recover 1 Kunai after performing a Perfect Dodge. Location: Pray at Hazy Cliff Shrine in Act 2. As long as you're at full health, you'll deal a good amount of extra damage with every blow. Why it's useful: More experienced players who rarely get hit can make great use of this Charm. What it does: Deal moderate bonus damage while at full health. In order to unlock more Charm slots, Jin will have to find Inari Shrines. Only two Gold Charms can be equipped at any time. Common Silver Charms, which can be equipped in any slot, and rare Gold Charms. We'll also detail where to find them and why we think they're useful.
